The ANZACATA Board

Helen Killmier

Helen Killmier is the current Chair of ANZACATA. She is Chief Executive Officer at Guidestar, an organisation that she founded in 2017. Guidestar has a psychology and counselling clinic, provides sector training and development and is a registered NDIS provider supporting people with multiple and complex needs using a trauma-informed approach to achieve meaningful participation and an improved quality of life. Helen has extensive experience in leadership roles within not-for-profit and government agencies including leading development and implementation of vision, purpose and strategic direction, transformational change management processes, NDIS leadership, development of consortia, financial and risk management, clinical governance, strategic planning, business development and service provision. Her industry experience includes disability, mental health, homelessness, alcohol and other drugs, justice and local government. Since commencing Guidestar, Helen has grown the business to 32 employees and over 300 clients. Guidestar is a registered B-Corporation and is the Victorian winner of the Telstra Best of Business Awards (Community Impact) 2022. A registered Community Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor,  Helen’s research interests are sense of community, sense of place, community wellbeing, dual disability and mental health. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Association of Psychologists, a Fellow of the College of Community Psychologists and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Christine Fitzherbert, OAM.

In Christine Fitzherbert's professional role, she is CEO/General Manager of St Kilda Police Citizens & Youth Club (PCYC). Christine is also the principle of Fitzherbert & Associates Consulting with significant expertise is in governance, business and financial management, people and change management both cultural and Organisational change. Christine has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors as well as over 20 years’ experience in the health sector having previously held the position of Executive Director Human Resources and Organisational Development at Melbourne Health (Royal Melbourne Hospital), Prior to that Christine was the Executive Director of Human Resources for Southern Health now Monash Health. Her university experience covers several years in the university sector as Director of the Human Resources Management group, and Director Workplace Reform at RMIT University, as well as a having previously been a sessional senior lecturer in politics. at Monash University. In 2024, Christine was honoured with the Medal of the Order of Australia in recognition of her tireless service to the community.


Theresa Van Lith, Ph.D., ATR-BC, AThR

Dr. Van Lith is an Associate Professor and Course Coordinator at La Trobe University, Melbourne. Australia. Before this she was Associate Professor and Clinical Coordinator at Florida State University. Her research interests began in the area of art therapy practices in mental health recovery. Upon moving to the United States, Dr. Van Lith quickly expanded her interests on art therapy evaluation methods and research approaches across multiple populations. Consequently, she has been the Principal Investigator on several research projects including group art therapy for children with ASD, early intervention art therapy with Latinx farmworker children, as well as mindfulness-based art therapy and technology-assisted approaches to dealing with anxiety and stress with university students. She continues to play an active role in the American Art Therapy Association including as co-editor of the highly regarded professional academic journal. Dr. Van Lith has been the recipient of numerous awards including the American Art Therapy Association Seed Grant (2021); National Endowment for the Arts Research Award (2020); Department of Art Education Faculty Teaching Award (2019); the Rawley Silver Research Award from the American Art Therapy Association (2017); and the Transformation Through Teaching Award from Florida State University - Spiritual Life Project (2016).


Supreet Chadha AThR

'Founder and director of Kikkli Expressive Therapies, Supreet Chadha is a registered creative arts therapist. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand and works with people across the country, including Australia and India. She has worked with different populations in local and international organizations spanning across schools, prisons, rehabilitation centres, NGOs and clinics. She is active in promoting Expressive Arts Therapy to the general public via social media, workshops and educational training.'


Karina Butera, PhD

Karina Butera is an award winning executive coach, L&D expert and socialpreneur.  The focus of Karina's 35+ year career has been to increase the productivity, confidence and contribution of individuals through improving their levels of wellbeing, emotional intelligence and social awareness.  She has held board roles in several member-based not-for-profit associations.  In Karina's most recent role, she was responsible for the professional development curriculum, mentoring program and conferences at the Association for Corporate Counsel, Australia.  Karina studied and taught at Deakin University, with a focus on sociology, gender studies, psychology and philosophy.  An award winning Master Coach, Karina weaves together sociology and positive psychology to empower clients to find solutions that are realistic and sustainable.  As an advocate for the importance of a well regulated mental health sector and someone who has used art as her own tool for unravelling feelings that words fail to aptly describe, Karina is honoured to bring her passion and business acumen to serve on the board of ANZACATA.

Wendy Lever-Henderson

Wendy Lever-Henderson MA Art Therapy, is an Australian Art Therapist with nearly thirty years of client experience. Wendy has collaborated with individuals, families, and groups (mostly Indigenous) in a multitude of settings. Wendy’s experience includes Alcohol and other drugs, homelessness, outreach, case management, project management, outdoor adventure therapy, and child/youth and adult counselling. Wendy taught various community service courses from certificate to Diploma levels in vocational education and training for over seventeen years. In 2018 she was awarded the Victorian Teacher of the Year, and was a Wurreker Award finalist for her contribution to indigenous education and a finalist in the Australian Training Awards. Wendy has experience in being a Team Leader and managed her own Art Therapy business since 2016. She has a Diploma in Leadership and management and experience working on committees some of which informed decision makers at a ministerial level. 


Cindy Yeung, REAT, AThR

Cindy is a registered Expressive Arts Therapist and an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong. She has been providing individual and group intervention to children, adolescents and adults through collaboration with schools and NGOs. She is now serving a wider range of individuals, including individuals with giftedness and SEN, while offering parenting and emotional support to parents; individuals with various emotional distress or interpersonal relationship issues; as well as individuals with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. She provides adequate psychotherapy services across both online and offline platforms, facilitating a better coping with life challenges for individuals. Meanwhile, Cindy offers clinical supervision, teaching and placement consultation for expressive arts therapy students at the university. She also devotes herself to promoting expressive arts therapy in Hong Kong and advocates the awareness of psychological health in the general public.
