Recognised Qualifications

Professional members of ANZACATA must complete a two-year Master degree which includes 750 hours of supervised clinical placement and has been approved by a government qualification authority (Australian Quality Framework AQF level 9). Master degrees awarded in other countries can be approved on a case-by-case basis. ANZACATA offers tier membership for other approved training courses at AQF level 6 and above. See categories and requirements for more details.

The terms 'degree', 'masters', 'doctorate' and so forth are protected terms which must only apply to courses that are registered. Members may not realise that these terms can only be used by registered providers and with accredited courses. Our website lists all the relevant and approved training courses on offer in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore. If you want to check if a provider or course is registered with government authorities go to Training in Australia for Certificate and Diploma levels and to TEQSA for Degrees and Masters courses. In New Zealand see NZQA, in Singapore see SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) which is the registration body of private education institutions and in Hong Kong, the registering body is the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications. We only recognise TEQSA, ASQA, NZQA, CPE and HKCAAVQ approved courses and registered education providers for membership. We may approve the content of other non registered, non accredited courses from time to time, as contributions to your CPD.

ANZACATA is not an accrediting body and as such only recognises courses that have been accredited by the Qualifications Authority in the respective country for the tiered levels of practising membership. These are listed on the course pages below.
